Description
What kind of wine is it
Steinbock Sparkling Riesling Zero Alcohol is a refined alcohol-free sparkling wine crafted according to the principles of the Traditional Method. Made from Riesling grapes, it appears in the glass with a bright straw-yellow colour and a fine perlage that offers a pleasant creamy sensation on the palate. The bouquet opens with fragrant notes of green apple, peach and citrus, enriched by floral hints and the characteristic petrol nuances typical of mature Riesling. On the palate, it reveals vibrant freshness and pronounced minerality, maintaining a harmonious acidity that makes it ideal for pairing with sushi and shellfish.
Where does it come from
This wine has its roots in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region of Germany, an area renowned for Riesling cultivation. The microclimate and soil composition give the grapes a liveliness that is fully expressed in the glass. The project was born from the collaboration between Dr. Fischer and J. Hofstätter, united in their aim to enhance the region’s distinctive territorial character. The wine expresses the typical mineral freshness of the German slopes, offering a dynamic, clean drink that is deeply connected to its place of origin.
How is it produced
Production begins with the vinification of selected grapes in stainless steel, aimed at preserving the purity of the fruit. This is followed by vacuum dealcoholisation at low pressure. This technique reduces atmospheric pressure, allowing the boiling point to drop to around 25°C. Thanks to this gentle thermal extraction, the primary aromas and original structure remain unaltered. The result is a beverage capable of retaining the organoleptic qualities of the original raw material.
History and Curiosities
Born from the collaboration between Dr. Fischer and the J. Hofstätter estate, Steinbock Sparkling Riesling Zero Alcohol is a refined sparkling wine made from grapes from the Moselle-Saar-Ruwer region. It stands out for its innovative vacuum dealcoholisation: by lowering the atmospheric pressure, the alcohol evaporates at low temperatures, thus preserving the delicate aromas of the wine intact. The result is not a grape juice, but a genuine alcohol-free sparkling wine, perfect for enjoying an elegant toast with the utmost lightness.
