Description
What kind of wine it is
The Pinot Nero Roccolo by Serafini e Vidotto is a still red wine from Veneto, with the typical geographical indication Colli Trevigiani, which elegantly expresses the typical characteristics of the Pinot Noir grape. In the glass, it displays a bright ruby red colour, hinting at a lively and fruity aromatic profile. The bouquet evokes aromas of cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, enriched by nuances of violet, tea leaf, tamarind and a touch of rhubarb. On the palate, it stands out for its medium body and pleasant freshness, supported by a silky tannic structure that makes each sip harmonious and well balanced.
Where it comes from
This red originates in Veneto, in the area of the Colli Trevigiani, from vineyards located on the hills of Montello in Nervesa della Battaglia. Serafini e Vidotto has been cultivating these lands since the early Nineties, carrying out a rigorous site selection to ensure consistency and finesse in quality. The dedicated terroir and the Guyot training system favour optimal plant development. The result is an authentic interpretation of the hilly landscape, capable of expressing remarkable gustatory tension and a well-defined personality in the glass.
How it is produced
The harvest, carried out between the end of August and the beginning of September, initiates a vinification process aimed at preserving the fragrance of the fruit. The process involves slow maturation in wooden barrels for a period between fourteen and eighteen months, an essential phase to achieve perfect structural balance. Before being released on the market, the wine rests for at least three years. Served at a temperature of 16-18 °C, ideally after one hour of decanting, it fully reveals its complexity. It pairs superbly with succulent dishes such as grilled veal, lamb cutlets and goat's cheeses.
History and Curiosities

A future laid down by the beginnings, guaranteed by the presence of a new generation. Starting with Matteo Serafini, who grew up here, among the vineyards and the cellar and trained as oenologist with experiences abroad and in the schools of Conegliano and San Michele all’Adige. In short, ideal conditions to say that we are on solid ground, while our wines are in excellent oak barrels.
Seeing that we are called Serafini & Vidotto, one might say that we have always been a group. Today that group has grown (in more ways than one), with a natural balance and understanding. Starting with Massimo and Kati, followed by the others. Those who have joined our family have found their place and, thanks to the place and to the atmosphere that has been created, no-one has left over the years. A sign that we share the same passion and tenacity. Because, although it is wonderful to live among nature, to enjoy a marvellous view day after day, the true value of our wine lies in the work of people.
Everyone produces quality. We are also committed to living with it. We have always believed that the project was about our lives. First and foremost, we had to do what we liked doing, without compromise. This is the same idea that we can find today in every Serafini & Vidotto wine. The ambition to satisfy our idea of quality. For ourselves, for the product, for all those who can rejoice in the results of our constant care. Read more
