Description
What kind of wine it is
Pol Roger Brut Réserve Champagne is a refined wine produced using the Traditional Method, created from a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grapes. In the glass, it displays a straw yellow colour with golden highlights and a fine, persistent perlage. The bouquet combines notes of pear, mango, jasmine, vanilla and brioche. On the palate, it offers a bold and dynamic attack, revealing a pleasant creamy texture. It releases aromas of quince, acacia honey and candied citrus, fading into a slightly spicy finish, ideal for accompanying an entire meal.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in France, in the heart of Champagne, centred around the historic cellars of Épernay. The blend is the result of exceptional terroirs: the Chardonnay is harvested between Épernay and the Côte des Blancs, the Pinot Meunier from the Vallée de la Marne and Épernay, while the Pinot Noir comes from the Montagne de Reims. This geographical synergy allows Pol Roger to shape a clear and consistent character, skilfully combining power and finesse, for a faithful interpretation of the region’s most prestigious soils.
How it is produced
The process begins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, where the cuvées are vinified separately to preserve the primary aromas. After malolactic fermentation, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle according to the Traditional Method, maturing on the lees for an extended period in the underground cellars. The process includes a specific cold clarification and careful manual riddling. The addition of the Brut dosage completes the production cycle, defining a fresh and distinctly persistent flavour balance.
