Description
What kind of wine it is
The Pinot Noir from Pojer e Sandri is a still red wine that embodies the essence of Trentino-Alto Adige under the Vigneti delle Dolomiti designation. Made from Pinot Noir grapes, it releases persistent aromas of strawberry, raspberry and wild berries on the nose. On the palate, it reveals a silky texture and a pleasant density, enriched by hints of blueberry. Fermentation in steel and brief ageing in oak barrels provide a marked cleanliness and a lingering finish, naturally introducing its origins and production process.
Where it comes from
The grapes grow in Faedo, in the Rocol and Palai vineyards, between 300 and 700 metres above sea level with a southern exposure, an ideal condition for consistent ripening. The climate benefits from the ventilation of the Ora del Garda, essential for the health of the bunches and the vibrancy of the fruit. The vines rest on shallow silty-limestone soils, lying on a marl conglomerate rich in volcanic rocks, sandstones and dolomites. This geological layering gives the glass remarkable aromatic precision.
How it is produced
The process begins with washing and cleaning the grapes, followed by a pre-fermentation cooling for one day. Fermentation takes place at a low temperature in stainless steel, with careful use of selected yeasts to protect the aromatic integrity of the Pinot Noir. Ageing, lasting about four to six months, takes place in steel and in old oak barrels. This delicate management preserves a clear fruity profile, enhancing the natural purity of the grape.
History and Curiosities
Born from the artisanal passion that has driven Pojer e Sandri since 1975, this elegant Pinot Noir embodies the pure essence of Trentino. In the vineyards of Faedo, the fresh Ora del Garda breeze caresses the grapes, enriching their aromatic profile, supported by mineral-rich soils. Expert maturation in oak and steel enhances the clear notes of wild berries and the pleasantly silky texture on the palate. This expression of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT represents a perfect synthesis between the promotion of the territory and dedication to natural viticulture.

Faedo 1998: We are already starting to show our thirst for innovation: we are among the first at a national level to market Chardonnay, which until then was practically unknown.
Faedo 2002: We patent the reduction and press vinification with nitrogen recovery, which drastically reduces the use of sulphites. We then begin to wash the grapes through the grape jacuzzi.
The arrival of Marianna, Matteo, Fiamma, Elisa and Federico has brought further life and energy to this dream in which passion and innovation are the keystone.
Faedo 2013: The Zero Infinito project is born: Zero chemical treatments in the countryside, Zero sulphur dioxide, Zero commercial yeasts, Zero clarifying agents, Zero filtrations, Zero antioxidants. Read more
