Description

What kind of wine it is

The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Extra Quality Brut from Ployez-Jacquemart fully expresses the elegance of Chardonnay. Crafted according to the principles of the Traditional Method, it stands out for its bright golden yellow colour and very fine perlage. The bouquet is enriched with delicate toasted notes that lead to a sip characterised by a creamy structure and great aromatic precision. Thanks to its harmonious finish, it is ideal as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with shellfish and flavourful cheeses.

Where it comes from

This Champagne is produced in France, from vineyards surrounding the commune of Ludes. For its creation, Ployez-Jacquemart selects grapes from outstanding villages such as Bisseuil, Cuis, Puisieulx, Taissy, Grauves and Vertus. The careful selection of these plots gives the wine extraordinary balance, enhancing the identity of the terroir. The maison, founded in 1930, has operated for three generations with the aim of showcasing the local soils and preserving the authentic character of the production area.

How it is produced

Production begins exclusively with pure cuvées, using only the first pressings. Reserve wines are almost never used in the blend. As required by the Traditional Method, the Champagne undergoes four years of ageing on the lees, a crucial period for developing the creaminess and texture of the bubbles. At disgorgement, the reduced dosage of cane sugar ensures a dry profile, delivering a clean and persistent finish on the palate.

History and Curiosities

Founded in 1930, the family-run maison Ployez-Jacquemart showcases the excellence of the terroir with this elegant Champagne Blanc de Blancs. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes sourced from prestigious villages and obtained only from the first pressings, it is aged for at least four years on the lees, acquiring a refined creaminess and delicate toasted notes. The traditional method and low dosage define its profile, which has been acclaimed by critics. Ideal with aperitifs and seafood dishes, it is enhanced by a fine perlage.
