Description
What kind of wine is it
Pierre Mignon Pure Zero Dosage Brut Nature Cuvée Magnum is a vibrant Champagne created from a blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In the glass, it displays a straw yellow colour and a fine, delicate perlage. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe fruit and citrus, interwoven with hints of toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, it is rounded, with notes of brioche and dried fruit. The absence of dosage enhances an elegant mineral tension, culminating in a persistent finish, ideal for pairing with lamb dishes.
Where does it come from
This wine is born in the Champagne region, in the wine-growing area between Reims and Épernay. The grapes come from the picturesque Vallée de la Marne, where Pierre Mignon tends his vineyards near the village of Le Breuil. The area is characterised by soils composed mainly of chalk, marl and limestone, key geological factors that give the wine a typical and vibrant savoury character. In this unique habitat, the roots draw on the peculiarities of selected crus, ensuring grapes of great aromatic concentration and profound expressiveness.
How is it produced
Production faithfully follows the principles of the Traditional Method, with a slow and careful secondary fermentation in the bottle. The approach in the cellar favours the Brut Nature style with zero dosage, excluding the addition of sugars to guarantee a pure, taut and absolutely precise sip. To enhance its visual and tactile nuances, the wine should be served at a temperature between 10 and 12°C. To preserve its integrity over time, it is advisable to store the bottles horizontally, in an environment with controlled humidity, constant temperature and away from light.
