Description
What kind of wine it is
This Champagne Brut from Pierre Mignon is a cuvée with a bold character. Crafted using the Traditional Method, it skilfully combines Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir in a balanced blend. Visually, it displays a bright golden colour and a fine perlage. On the nose, intense citrus notes emerge, with hints of honey, ripe exotic fruit and aromas of freshly baked bread. On the palate, it is fresh, full-bodied and boasts remarkable maturity of flavour.
Where it comes from
This Champagne originates in Le Breuil, in the renowned Marne Valley, an area famous for the quality of its vineyards. Pierre Mignon enhances this region by tending to diverse plots located around Reims and Épernay. The blend is led by Chardonnay, enriched by Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. This synergy gives the wine a lively freshness and a broad structure, offering a balanced sip that reflects its landscape of origin.
How it is produced
The production process uses the Traditional Method, essential for imparting deep aromatic richness to the wine. Ageing lasts for five years in the cellar, beginning with an eighteen-month rest in oak barrels before finishing with maturation in glass. The restrained dosage enhances the wine’s natural vigour, making it ideal to accompany cheeses or shellfish and seafood starters. Served between 4°C and 10°C, it fully releases its complexity.
