Description
What kind of wine it is
The Champagne Fine Fleur Extra Brut by Philippe Lancelot is a pure and elegant expression, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. Produced according to the Traditional Method, it appears in the glass with an intense golden yellow colour, enlivened by a fine, persistent and abundant perlage. The aromatic bouquet releases notes of dried fruit, delicate hints of vanilla and light toasted nuances. On the palate, it is full, smooth and complex, with sweet hints of honey that evolve into elegant mineral notes. The structure is supported by a marked acidity, which gives tension and depth to every sip.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine originates in the village of Cramant, in the heart of the Champagne region. Philippe Lancelot cultivates and selects the grapes from an area of just four hectares, dedicating meticulous attention to each individual plot. The vineyard management follows a strict organic approach, integrated with biodynamic practices aimed at preserving the natural vitality of the soil. This production philosophy, based on minimal intervention, allows the identity of the terroir to be transferred to the glass, enhancing the purity of the Chardonnay.
How it is produced
Production faithfully follows the Traditional Method, with the prise de mousse carried out according to historic local traditions. In the cellar, artisanal processing reduces interventions to the essential, favouring a natural evolution of the must. The Extra Brut dosage ensures a dry and clean profile, ideal for enhancing the savoury character of the wine. Thanks to its pronounced acidity, this Champagne boasts remarkable ageing potential, capable of enriching its bouquet over time. It proves to be an ideal companion for shellfish, fish-based dishes and cheeses.

Traditional viticulture with the first organic trials in 2010. Biodynamic practices have been adopted in all vineyards since 2012. We pursue the least invasive viticulture techniques.
My idea is to apprehend and express the DNA of each area as best as possible. Hence, harvest after harvest, according to my desire and my imagination, I aim to develop different cuvees with their own identity, true to the vintage.
I strive to express purity, distinctiveness and why not originality. This is why I created 'parcelles et coups de coeur' (single vineyards and favorites). Each label is the illustration of my feeling of the wine. Read more
