Description
Still red Taurasi Riserva, 14% ABV, produced by Perillo in Campania, 2012 vintage. A wine that embodies the excellence of the Calore Valley, the fruit of a long family tradition in growing Aglianico. The Aglianico grapes are hand-harvested in November and meticulously vinified. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages in large Slovenian oak barrels for approximately 24 months, before being bottled unfiltered. On the nose, it progressively expresses power and complexity, revealing notes of ripe plum and cherry, balsamic notes of mint and resin, with mineral nuances of damp earth and graphite. On the palate, it is rich, warm, and enveloping, supported by a refreshing acidity and tannins that deliver volume and density.
