Description
What kind of wine is it
The Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Venus Brut Nature is a refined Traditional Method sparkling wine with zero dosage. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, it appears in the glass with a straw yellow colour enriched by golden highlights. On the nose, it releases fruity and floral aromas, perfectly integrated with sophisticated brioche notes. On the palate, it is deep, characterised by a creamy texture and a fine, persistent perlage. This label also boasts a marked aptitude for ageing, promising a fascinating evolution over time.
Where does it come from
This Blanc de Blancs originates in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, from the renowned Grand Cru vineyards of Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry. The area is distinguished by its typical chalky soil, a fundamental element in imparting freshness and verticality to the wine's structure. The grapes come from vines grown organically and sustainably, some of which are over sixty years old. Since 1894, the Agrapart winery has precisely interpreted the character of these plots, respecting the authentic winemaking vocation of the area.
How is it produced
The process strictly follows the Champenoise Method, involving meticulous vinification aimed at enhancing the purity of the Chardonnay. The prolonged ageing on the lees shapes the wine's structure, enriching it with softness and aromatic complexity. As a Brut Nature, the absence of added sugars preserves an intact and vibrant gustatory tension. This choice delivers a dry and elegant sip, able to transparently and consistently reflect the calcareous imprint of its original soils.
History and Curiosities
Since 1894, Agrapart has embodied the soul of the Côte des Blancs through this extraordinary organic Champagne Grand Cru. Produced with Chardonnay grapes from old vines grown on typical chalky soil, the 2019 vintage captures the essence of the region. The bold choice of zero dosage enhances its natural freshness, offering a long, creamy sip with genuine elegance.
