Description
What kind of wine it is
Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé, born from the collaboration between Chateau Miraval and the Perrin Family, embodies the essence of the renowned Côtes de Provence appellation. This blend harmonises the Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Rolle and Mourvèdre varieties, offering a vibrant aromatic profile. Visually, it displays a bright petal pink hue, introducing aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and strawberry, enriched by delicate citrus and herbal notes. On the palate, the dry and juicy sip leads to a distinctly savoury finish. Its natural freshness elegantly accompanies summer days, enhancing seafood starters, lean fish and fresh cheeses.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in Correns, in the heart of Provence, where Chateau Miraval cultivates its vineyards at three hundred and fifty metres above sea level. The hillside location ensures an unusually cool microclimate for the region, characterised by significant temperature variations between day and night. These conditions allow the grapes to ripen precisely, preserving acidity and developing a defined and taut aromatic character. The Provençal terroir imparts a clear mineral component to the wine, reflecting a harmonious territorial identity with great expressive clarity.
How it is produced
Harvesting takes place at first light to preserve the fragrance of the bunches, followed by a rigorous manual selection. After destemming, Cinsault, Grenache and Rolle undergo direct pressing, while the Syrah is partly vinified using the saignée method. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures and, for a small portion, in barrels. Maturation continues in the same containers with regular bâtonnage on the fine lees, a practice that enriches the structure and lends roundness, ensuring a tasting experience of lasting elegance.
