Description
What kind of wine it is
Miniere F&R Absolu Blanc de Blancs Brut is a Blanc de Blancs Champagne with a precise profile, produced exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. Following the principles of the Traditional Method, it presents a bright appearance with golden highlights and a fine perlage. On the palate, the Champagne is creamy, balanced by a direct attack and clear structural definition. The sip combines the freshness of citrus fruits with enveloping toasted notes, leading to a pure and persistent finish, supported by a distinct chalky minerality typical of the terroir.
Where it comes from
It originates from the Hermonville terroir, in the Champagne region, from a careful blend of the plots Les Moineaux, Les Fosselles and Les Voirmissa. The vineyards are rooted in complex silty-clay and sandy soils on lacustrine limestone. This geological matrix shapes the character of the Chardonnay, giving it tension and brilliance. The connection with the land emerges in the aromatic profile, where mineral notes blend with scents of acacia flowers and lemon, ensuring a rigorous cleanliness on the palate.
How it is produced
The Chardonnay undergoes an initial ageing of eight months on the lees entirely in oak barrels of various ages. To preserve the natural tension and aromatic integrity, malolactic fermentation is not carried out. The prise de mousse, conducted according to the strict Traditional Method, involves a slow maturation of 34 months on the lees. This process shapes a linear and profound sip, enriched by honeyed nuances and hints of brioche. This is followed by disgorgement with a low dosage, which defines the clear and vibrant character of this wine.
History and Curiosities
The Absolu Blanc de Blancs Brut by Miniere F&R celebrates the Hermonville terroir through a pure Chardonnay grown on chalky soils. Artisanally vinified in barrique for eight months without malolactic fermentation, the wine preserves an intense freshness and refined toasted and citrus aromas. The 34 months of maturation on the lees gives the palate a creamy and taut texture. With a dosage of 3.5 g/L, this Champagne finishes with a pronounced chalky minerality, awarded 94 points by Suckling and Parker.

The estate has grown extensively over the years.
After completing our winemaking studies and several years of professional experience, we took over the estate in 2005 and decided to produce our own wines in oak barrels so as to promote the values of our exceptional heritage.
With almost 8Ha of land, our vineyards are primarily located in Hermonville, whose magnificent, south-east facing hillsides are flooded with sunshine.
The upper hills are covered in sand-loam soil while the lower areas are loam, clay and sand. These well-draining soils contain high levels of minerals which force roots downwards to feed the vines deep within the soil and saturate the sap with mineral elements. Read more
