Description
What kind of wine it is
Maso Martis Extra Brut Rosé is a sparkling rosé wine from the Trento area, made from Pinot Noir grapes grown in Trentino Alto Adige. The flavour profile is extremely dry and vibrant, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage that caresses the palate. The structure is well-defined, thanks to a pronounced acidity balanced by a distinctive saline note that adds depth to the sip. Produced using the Traditional Method, it releases elegant hints of wild berries and sweet almond, offering a clear and precise aromatic profile.
Where it comes from
The Maso Martis vineyards are located in Martignano, at the foot of Monte Calisio, in a hilly setting at 450 metres above sea level. This particular location ensures optimal temperature variations, essential for balanced grape ripening and the perfect preservation of freshness. The mountainous terrain gives the Pinot Noir a distinct territorial identity, imparting the unmistakable elegance and precision typical of the Trento area to the glass.
How it is produced
Production begins with manual harvesting, followed by a cold maceration on the skins for about 18-24 hours, essential for extracting the colour and the finest aromatic precursors. After gentle pressing and fermentation in steel, the secondary fermentation takes place according to the Traditional Method. The wine is then aged on the lees for at least 36 months. The process concludes with riddling and disgorgement, fundamental steps to ensure the utmost clarity of the sparkling wine.
History and Curiosities
Born from the dedication of Maso Martis on the slopes of Monte Calisio, this organic sparkling wine embodies the authentic spirit of the region. Produced from grapes grown at an altitude of 450 metres, the prestigious Trento DOC Extra Brut comes to life from pure Pinot Noir, harvested strictly by hand. Thanks to a targeted cold maceration that extracts its most noble aromas, the wine matures on the lees for at least 36 months. This artisanal expertise delivers a classic method sparkling wine of rare character, with a fine and persistent perlage in perfect harmony.

Ever since the beginning we dedicated our activity almost exclusively to the art of producing classic method sparkling wines: a real challenge to face at that time, as this type of product from Trentino still had not achieved the reputation of high quality as it has today with the brand TRENTODOC.
We live in a house located in the heart of our vineyards and therefore for us the transition to organic viticulture was the natural consequence of our way of life that focuses on life quality.
Maso Martis is situated in Martignano at the foothill of Mount Calisio (also called Argentario) above Trento, 450 m above sea level: a mountain terrain that was cultivated as early as the end of the 800, and is well exposed and caressed by the mountain breeze. Read more
