Description
What kind of wine it is
Costa d’Amalfi Furore Bianco Denominazione di Origine Controllata by Marisa Cuomo is a still white wine from Campania that expresses the profound essence of the Amalfi Coast. Created from a blend of Falanghina and Biancolella, it appears in the glass with a bright straw yellow colour. The bouquet intertwines elegant notes of acacia, lemon verbena and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is broad and harmonious, characterised by a lively freshness, preserved by ageing in a cellar carved into the rock, which leads the sip towards a persistent finish, with a clear hint of toasted almond.
Where it comes from
This white wine is born in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, between Cetara and Raito, through a practice of heroic viticulture. The vineyards, cultivated using pergola, atypical raggiera and espalier systems, overlook the steep coastal terraces facing south, situated at an altitude between 300 and 400 metres. The roots sink into dolomitic-limestone rocks, a unique soil that gives the wine extraordinary aromatic clarity.
How it is produced
Following a careful selection of Falanghina and Biancolella grapes, vinification and ageing take place in the evocative cellar carved into the rock of Marisa Cuomo. This underground environment allows for natural control of temperature and humidity, preserving the integrity of the aromas and the vitality of the must. The result is a balanced and persistent wine.
History and Curiosities
The Costa d’Amalfi Furore Bianco 2025 by Marisa Cuomo celebrates the authentic heroic viticulture of the steep terraces between Cetara and Raito. The soul of this wine comes to life in the iconic cellar carved into the rock, an evocative setting that ensures natural humidity control. A perfect balance that masterfully blends ancient local traditions with the most sophisticated modern techniques.
