Description
What kind of wine is it
Bidibi Maculan is a still white wine from Veneto, created from a harmonious blend of Friulano and Sauvignon grapes. In the glass, it displays a clear straw yellow colour, with intense aromas of ripe and tropical fruit enhanced by the typical nuances of Sauvignon. The palate is dry and full, characterised by a smoothness perfectly balanced with a fresh component, ensuring a long aromatic persistence ideal for accompanying starters, soups, and dishes based on lean fish.
Where does it come from
The identity of this white wine takes shape in the hills of Breganze, where the vineyards benefit from unique territorial conditions. The vines sink their roots into soils alternating between volcanic origins and gravelly plains, which significantly influence the clarity of the aromas. This specific geological formation ensures excellent ripening of the grapes, giving the wine a pronounced linearity on the palate and a balanced structure.
How is it produced
In the winery, the grapes undergo a cold maceration for two days, followed by gentle pressing in hyper-reduction, a technique essential for preserving the fragrant varietal aromas. The entire production cycle concludes with six months of ageing in steel tanks, containers chosen to enhance the purity of the fruit and prevent oxidation. This process delivers a technically flawless glass, with a clean finish supported by excellent acidic freshness.
History and Curiosities

It was grandfather Giovanni who founded the actual winery, in 1947. Between the ‘50s and ‘60s he specialized in producing substantial quantities of white and red wines, which he distributed in large-sized bottles to osterie, trattorias and grocers’ shops, the so-called "casoini".
The revolution – from a quality point of view – was the work of Fausto. In 1973, after finishing his studies in Conegliano, he returned to the company and took over the reins of the business. In spite of some initial difficulties, his tenaciousness, thirst for knowledge and desire to experiment in both the vineyards and winery led the young oenologist to become one of the major innovators in Italian wine.
Today, Maria Vittoria and Angela share the running of the estate with their father Fausto. Thanks to their professionalism and enterprise, they represent the future of the Maculan company, focusing on technological innovation, sustainability and internationalization. Read more
