What kind of wine it is

Letrari Brut Trento is a Trentino sparkling wine made using the Traditional Method, created from a blend where Chardonnay meets Pinot Noir. Ageing for at least twenty-four months on the lees shapes a clear and elegant technical profile. In the glass, it appears a bright straw yellow with golden highlights, crossed by a continuous and fine perlage. The bouquet offers fragrant notes of apple and pineapple, accompanied by hints of bread crust. On the palate, it is broad and lively, with good body and a persistence that recalls the pleasant fruity sensations perceived on the nose.

Where it comes from

The grapes ripen in the Vallagarina, near Rovereto. The vineyards benefit from a temperate climate moderated by the influence of Lake Garda and the River Adige, which create a distinctive Mediterranean microclimate. The significant temperature variations are crucial for defining the varietal character, enhancing the freshness of the Brut style. The Letrari winery leads production, drawing on a historic presence in this specific area dating back to 1647.

How it is produced

Production begins with the manual harvesting of the bunches, which are then destemmed and gently pressed. The base fermentation takes place in steel tanks to preserve the purity of the aromas. After the blend is created, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, as required by the Traditional Method. The long ageing on the lees ensures great stability and consistency of the mousse, resulting in a sip with harmonious balance, enriched by pleasant flavours of fruit and bread crust.

This captivating sparkling wine, made using the Traditional Method, expresses the unique microclimate of Vallagarina, enhanced by the beneficial influence of Lake Garda. Produced from hand-picked Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, the elegant cuvée rests on the lees for 24 months. The production process, overseen by the winery founded in 1976 and oenologist Lucia Letrari, results in a harmonious glass with a continuous and fine perlage, capable of combining a prestigious tradition with absolute quality.

Shaped by the specific terroir and microclimate of Vallagarina - an environment influenced by the time of the Adige and Lake Garda, which here creates a special microclimate of the Mediterranean type - we produce 25 different types of quality wine with strong varietal typicity.

Letrari The farm, with its 23 hectares of vineyards located in different places of Vallagarina, has its headquarters in a modern and functional cellar Rovereto, Trentino faithful in appearance rural architecture and is surrounded by a garden of Mediterranean species .

Our wines come from grapes grown in vineyards located property in the best areas of the Earth Vallagarina and Strong. Among the red wines reserve particular attention to the native varieties, such as the gentle and fruity Marzemino, Teroldego fatter, a tangy Lagrein. To complete the production of a selected range Letrari Brut sparkling classics, all made from grapes Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and processed with the classical method of secondary fermentation in the bottle, according to strict production rules Trentodoc.
