Description
What kind of wine it is
Bramasole by La Braccesca is a still red wine that enhances the expressiveness of Syrah in the heart of Cortona. In the glass, it appears an intense ruby red with violet reflections and a fresh, complex aromatic profile. The bouquet offers hints of blackberry, cherry and plum, intertwined with notes of pepper and liquorice and nuances of violet. On the palate, it reveals an enveloping and elegant structure, supported by soft and compact tannins that lead the tasting towards a long and persistent finish, enriched by spicy and vanilla notes. Ideal for accompanying flavourful dishes, it pairs masterfully with Tuscan cuisine, particularly with veal-based dishes and ossobuco.
Where it comes from
This Syrah comes to life in vineyards located in Tuscany, within the La Braccesca estate. The grapes are selected from the sunniest plots to ensure optimal ripeness and aromatic concentration. The silty clay soil gives the wine a solid backbone, faithfully reflecting the characteristics of its place of origin. Created to evolve over time, this red authentically interprets the bond between the grape variety and the local microclimate, offering a pure expression of the Tuscan terroir.
How it is produced
Care in production begins with destemming and gentle crushing of the grapes, followed by a cold maceration of three days to best extract the aromatic compounds. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel, with a maceration of about fifteen days managed to obtain optimal extraction of sweet tannins. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation and the ageing period take place in French oak barrels, both new and second passage. This rest of about twelve months enriches the wine's profile, giving it stability, elegance and the spicy notes that complete the sip.
