Description

What kind of wine it is

The Bourgogne Rouge Vieilles Vignes by Joseph Voillot is a still red wine that enhances the Pinot Noir grape. Produced in the Burgundy region, it stands out for its fresh, fragrant and elegant profile, ideal for youthful and easy drinking. The depth of flavour is ensured by the use of old vines over forty years of age. Careful winemaking based on traditional methods preserves the vibrancy of the fruit, offering a balanced and harmonious glass.

Where it comes from

This wine originates in the renowned Côte-d’Or, in the heart of Burgundy, from vineyards managed by Joseph Voillot among the communes of Meursault, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune. The grapes come from a blend of vineyard sites, specifically Longs Bois and Grandes Terres. These plots are located on a lower slope characterised by deep soils, composed of Argovian marl and Bathonian limestone. This geological matrix gives the wine a fine texture and a clear flavour profile.

How it is produced

The Pinot Noir grapes are grown following a reasoned agriculture system that protects the surrounding environment. The winemaking process adopts classic approaches to keep the natural expression of the fruit alive.

From this winery
For 6 generations, we have been cultivating 8 hectares of vines that extend across the municipalities of Meursault, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune.

The 13 appellations of the estate are all produced with equal care in the purest Burgundian tradition with respect for our terroirs.

Reasoned agriculture is part of every intervention in our vine parcels for the best possible results, and our intention is to always make the best decisions keeping the environment in mind. Our farm has been awarded the high environmental value (HVE) certification since 2017.
