Description
What kind of wine it is
Champagne Rosé de Saignée Cuvée de Colette Extra Brut by Jerome Blin is a rosé Champagne with a pronounced territorial identity. Made from a meticulous blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, it offers a sensory profile of remarkable definition. The bouquet reveals clear aromas of small red fruits, enriched by fresh notes of pomegranate. On the palate, it delivers a rich and structured sip, supported by a fine perlage that prolongs its persistence. The low residual sugar of this Extra Brut makes it ideal for accompanying starters, raw seafood, sushi and cheeses.
Where it comes from
This label is produced in Vincelles, in the Marne Valley, a renowned French wine-growing area. The roots of the project lie in old vines over forty years old, capable of imparting great expressive intensity to the grapes. The agricultural management follows the principles of biodynamic farming, with the utmost attention paid to soil health and the balance of the natural ecosystem. This meticulous care is directly reflected in the glass, ensuring a deep territorial adherence and clear aromatic precision.
How it is produced
The transformation in the cellar takes place according to the Traditional Method, a fundamental technique for giving Champagne its characteristic effervescence. Its visual and gustatory identity is shaped by the rosé de saignée process, which allows for a calibrated extraction of colour and aromas from the skins. The vinification involves precise technical management, characterised by a slight intentional oxidative note to enhance the wine's complexity. The low sugar dosage keeps the sip taut and dry, ensuring a prolonged gustatory persistence, perfect for shellfish and fish dishes.

The vineyards at Vincelles, in the middle of the Vallée de La Marne, were taken over in 2010 by Jerome, who decided to work the 6 hectares of his property in Biodynamic agriculture. Strongly convinced of the principles to be applied in agriculture, he shows a real revolution in the small commune of Vincelles.
Jerome has a very delicate hand that characterises all his champagnes with a veil of oxidation in the glass. The dosage is also moderate, as the grapes arriving at the cellar are very healthy. Read more
