Description
What kind of wine is it
Where Dreams Have No End… is a still white wine from Jermann that enhances Chardonnay with aromas of exotic fruit, butter, vanilla and pastry. Bright straw yellow in colour, on the palate it is broad with notes of baked apple, yellow flowers and honey, supported by a fresh acidity. The structure comes from a well-judged maturation in wood which gives the sip a rigorous finesse.
Where does it come from
The grapes grow in Dolegna del Collio and Villanova di Farra, in the Venezia Giulia area. The vines are cultivated on soils of marly sandstone and sandy marl, elements that favour the balance between richness and gustatory tension. The name is a musical tribute to The Joshua Tree by U2, a testament to the artistic inspiration that guides the winery.
How is it produced
The process preserves the aromatic integrity of the grapes. The wine matures for eleven months in small French oak barrels, acquiring depth and a seductive sweet spiciness that shapes an enveloping texture. Excellent with lean fish and shellfish, its elegant profile also enhances first courses and cheese selections.
History and Curiosities
Born in 1987, the iconic “Where Dreams Have No End…” is a fascinating tribute to Silvio Jermann’s vision and the album The Joshua Tree by U2. Over time, the bottle has seen its name and designs evolve, depicting moons, the Hale-Bopp comet, and Mars. The wine is an exceptional pure Chardonnay, emblematic of a winery founded in 1881. Aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, the wine weaves cosmic inspirations with a rare aromatic elegance, ensuring a complex and unforgettable sensory experience.
