Description
What kind of wine it is
Jacquesson's Champagne Cuvée 749 Extra Brut is a white wine from the Champagne appellation that combines Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier in a taut and mineral profile. In the glass, the Champagne displays a bright golden colour, enlivened by a fine and continuous perlage. On the nose, it offers precise aromas of ripe citrus fruits, dried fruit and white flowers, enriched by subtle hints of pastry. On the palate, it is deep and incisive, supported by a generous structure that leads to a savoury and persistent finish. Served chilled, it pairs harmoniously with raw seafood, roast poultry and flavourful cheeses.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced in France by the Jacquesson winery, based in Dizy. The grapes come from carefully selected vineyards in the renowned communes of Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers, Champillon, Avize and Oiry. The meticulous management of individual plots results in a distinct mineral imprint, a true expression of the local terroir. This rigorous viticulture allows for a balanced progression of flavours, offering a pure and captivating interpretation of the local wine landscape.
How it is produced
The production strictly follows the Traditional Method, involving a long maturation in large barrels in contact with the lees to enhance the complexity of the aromas. To maintain absolute purity of expression, the wine undergoes no filtration or fining. The slow prise de mousse in the bottle is completed with minimal dosage, a choice that highlights the dry Extra Brut style. This meticulous process delivers a vibrant drinking experience, ensuring a sip that is always clean, defined and of remarkable tactile finesse.
