Description
What kind of wine it is
Chianti When We Dance by Tenuta Il Palagio is a still red wine that authentically expresses the character of its territory. The result of a balanced blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo Nero and Colorino, it presents itself with a lively ruby red colour. On the nose, it releases fragrant cherry aromas and notes of fresh fruit. On the palate, it is enveloping, characterised by a soft and well-balanced texture, capable of evolving positively over time.
Where it comes from
This wine is born among the renowned Tuscan hills south of Florence, in the heart of the Chianti region. Production is linked to a historic estate cared for by Sting and Trudie Styler, now an important organic estate. The production philosophy of Tenuta Il Palagio respects the balance of the vineyard ecosystem, offering a glass that celebrates the local tradition of enjoying the fruits of the harvest in spring. The territorial identity emerges in a sensory profile focused on drinkability and freshness.
How it is produced
The vinification process begins with fermentation in stainless steel. The must undergoes an initial cold maceration, followed by a controlled temperature phase with frequent pumping over and punching down for proper extraction. Malolactic fermentation also takes place entirely in steel tanks. The process concludes with ageing in steel for six months and a further rest in the bottle for three months, periods designed to preserve the integrity and clarity of the original aromas.
History and Curiosities
Produced among the enchanting hills south of Florence, this wine celebrates the ancient Tuscan tradition of tasting the latest harvest with the arrival of spring.
