Description
What kind of wine it is
Dreidel Kosher Mevushal by Huentala Wines is a still red wine that expresses the authentic character of Malbec. Produced following a strict organic and sustainable approach, it boasts Kosher Mevushal certification. It displays an intense red colour, while the bouquet is distinguished by freshness, accompanied by clear notes of strawberry and cherry. On the palate, it offers a lively entry that leads to a persistent finish, supported by a solid structure and a marked balance between acidity and tannic texture, revealing a harmonious and well-defined sip.
Where it comes from
The vines grow on the high plains of Gualtallary, a renowned area within the Uco Valley in Argentina, at 1,400 metres above sea level. This area, nestled at the foothills of the Andes and close to the Tupungato volcano, benefits from a microclimate characterised by a significant temperature range, with cold winters and hot, dry summers. The vineyards are naturally irrigated by meltwater from the mountains and take root in alluvial soils, rich in gravel and limestone. Thanks to the optimal drainage provided by the sediments of the Las Tunas river, this extreme environment encourages the development of a wine with a structured and persistent profile.
How it is produced
The vinification process begins with a cold maceration, essential for gently extracting the aromatic precursors of Malbec while preserving its natural freshness. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, followed by a period of skin contact and natural malolactic fermentation. To enrich its texture, the wine is aged in oak barrels for several months, completing its maturation with a period of rest in glass. To fully enhance its complexity and organoleptic characteristics, it is recommended to let it decant for an hour before serving.
History and Curiosities
The Malbec Kosher Mevushal from Huentala Wines is produced at an altitude of 1,400 metres in Gualtallary, in the heart of the Uco Valley. The result of a rigorous organic and sustainable approach, this wine originates from alluvial soils rich in gravel and limestone, irrigated by meltwater from the Andes near the Tupungato volcano. The careful work in the cellar, characterised by natural malolactic fermentation and a targeted oak ageing of four months, gives the glass an elegant structure, enhancing fresh notes of strawberry and cherry with a long and lively finish.
