Description
What kind of wine it is
Henriet-Bazin's Blanc de Meunier is an elegant Blanc de Noirs made exclusively from Pinot Meunier grapes. Crafted according to the principles of the Traditional Method, this Champagne stands out for its aromatic profile, where fruity notes blend harmoniously with the complexity derived from ageing on the lees. On the palate, it is dry, in perfect Brut style, revealing a pleasant creaminess supported by a fine and persistent perlage that gives rhythm and breadth to the tasting experience.
Where it comes from
This Champagne originates in the Vallée de l’Ardre, in the communes of Faverolles & Coëmy. The grapes come entirely from the La Sente au Beurre plot, whose vines, facing south-west at the top of the slopes, ensure optimal ripening of the Pinot Meunier. The fine marl soil rests on a distinctive chalky subsoil, a rare geological condition for cultivating this variety, capable of imparting marked expressive finesse. Henriet-Bazin's agricultural approach fully enhances the identity of this origin.
How it is produced
The process uses exclusively the free-run juice from the first pressing, the prized tête de cuvée, to extract the highest quality from the Pinot Meunier. The wine rests for nine months in enamelled vats in contact with the lees, integrating structure and finesse. Subsequently, the prise de mousse and the prolonged three-year maturation on the lees enrich the organoleptic profile with a remarkable creamy texture. The carefully measured dosage ensures a dry finish, outlining a dynamic style with great clarity on the palate.

His son Robert Henriet took over in 1830 and kept ont working. Driven by the enthusiasm for Champagne de Vignerons, he developed his clientele through fairs in Paris, Lille and Lyon.
In 1962 Daniel Henriet, grandson of the founder, was 16 years old when he decided to take over and study wine before joining his brothers on the family estate. A few years later he met Mademoiselle Micheline Bazin, daughter of winegrowers from Villers-Marmery whom he married in 1968. The union of their two families gave birth to Champagne Henriet-Bazin … I would not arrive until a few years later.
After spending my childhood in my father’s boots, I joined the house in 1991 and decided to keep all of my harvest for vinification.
