In the glass, it reveals a deep golden yellow colour, which anticipates a profound and well-defined aromatic profile. The bouquet offers refined notes of citrus and white flowers, intertwined with a clear hint of honey. On the palate, it delivers a smooth sip, balanced by a lively acidity that leads to a fresh and persistent finish. Its structure harmoniously accompanies vegetarian dishes, shellfish, delicate fish and soft cheeses.

Where it comes from

This label originates in Piedmont, in the heart of the renowned Langhe region. The vineyards are located in the Barbaresco area, an excellent hilly zone that provides ideal soil and climate conditions for the vine. The different exposures of the slopes allow Chardonnay to express itself with great balance and aromatic precision. In this context, the grape variety matures developing a distinctive freshness, capable of supporting the wine's structure. Its Langhe roots give it a clear identity, deeply linked to a unique wine-growing landscape.

How it is produced

The production of Rossj-Bass is aimed at offering a wine with immediate appeal. Gaja's meticulous work seeks to preserve the aromatic integrity of the grapes, ensuring perfect taste-olfactory continuity. The sip maintains a linear progression, faithfully reproducing on the palate the honey and citrus notes perceived on the nose. This white stands out for its expressive readiness, as it does not require decanting time to reveal its complexity. Rigorous oenological care translates the fruit's potential into a harmonious and satisfying tasting experience.

The Gaja family settled in Piedmont in the mid-seventeenth century. Four generations have succeeded in producing wine since Giovanni Gaja in 1859, founded the winery in Barbaresco in the Langhe. Angelo, son of John, is the second generation. He married Clotilde Rey, who is credited traditionally credited with having imposed in the current company's production philosophy, oriented towards high-quality wine. The exponent of the third generation Giovanni Gaja was the son of Clotilde and Angelo Gaja, who died in 2002. Angelo Gaja, the current owner, joined the company in 1961 and made his own choices that were already his father and grandfather.
