Description
What kind of wine it is
Remole by Frescobaldi is an elegant still red wine that expresses the authentic character of Tuscany. This blend of Sangiovese and Merlot offers a fresh and harmonious sip, designed to provide an extremely smooth drinkability. On the palate, it stands out for its well-polished tannins and pleasant persistence, accompanied by clear fruity notes of cherry and lively spicy nuances. A versatile and satisfying glass, ideal for accompanying everyday meals with balance and a clean taste.
Where it comes from
This oenological expression originates in the picturesque area of Pelago, in the province of Florence, in the heart of Tuscany. The vines grow at altitudes between one hundred and fifty and five hundred metres above sea level, an ideal condition to ensure pronounced aromatic freshness and preserve the integrity of the fruit. The roots of this wine lie near the Villa di Remole, a place that holds over seven hundred years of Frescobaldi family history, reflecting a deep connection with its land.
How it is produced
The production process begins with a careful selection of the grapes, followed by a fifteen-day maceration on the skins to optimally extract colour and structure. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation encourages a soft texture on the palate and perfect integration of the components. The five-month maturation in steel preserves the precision of the aromas, finally completed by a two-month resting period before release to the market.
