Description
What kind of wine it is
The Piemonte Riesling Tardochè from Frasca La Guaragna is a still semi-aromatic white wine with a vibrant and crisp character. Made entirely from Riesling grapes, this expression of Piemonte Riesling stands out for its fresh and mineral profile. Its pronounced acidity and precise sip make it an excellent gastronomic companion, appreciated for its balance. On the palate, it is harmonious, ideal paired with white or fatty fish, flavourful cheeses, and poultry.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from the Guaragna estate in Nizza Monferrato. The vineyards rest on soil rich in sand and river pebbles, a matrix that enhances the Riesling by giving it a natural mineral tension. The history of this area is linked to the Via del Sale, the ancient trade route that connected the Piedmontese hills to the sea. The passage of these historic routes at the foot of the rows strengthens the deep bond between the Monferrato's vocation and the memory of the place.
How it is produced
Production begins with a gentle pressing to extract only the most elegant musts. Fermentation takes place slowly at a controlled temperature, between 13 and 16 °C, to preserve the aromatic clarity and freshness of the fruit. The wine matures in steel tanks, a material that protects the integrity of the grape variety, and completes its journey with a rest in the bottle necessary to perfectly harmonise the entire flavour profile.
History and Curiosities
