Description

What kind of wine is it

Reliance Brut Nature is a biodynamic Champagne crafted by Franck Pascal, the result of a refined blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay produced according to the Traditional Method. On the nose, the Champagne reveals aromas of linden, jasmine, peach and citrus, which evolve into elegant notes of dried apple and candied orange. On the palate, it stands out for its creamy mousse and lively acidity, offering a soft sip with no added sugar dosage. The persistence is long and culminates in an enveloping finish, enriched by delicate caramel notes.

Where does it come from

This wine originates from Baslieux-sous-Châtillon, a highly esteemed area within Champagne. The vines sink their roots into clay-limestone soils characterised by flint and millstone, elements that give the wine particular tension and fullness. Franck Pascal manages the vineyards following biodynamic principles, protecting biodiversity and avoiding the use of pesticides. Low yields and manual harvesting ensure intact grapes, capable of reflecting their terroir of origin with great purity.

How is it produced

After manual harvesting, the grapes undergo a natural vinification process aimed at enhancing the integrity of the fruit. The secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Traditional Method. The base wine is partially matured in oak barrels, a practice that imparts structure and roundness while preserving the original freshness. The absence of final dosage defines its Brut Nature character, offering a glass with a dense texture and perfect balance of flavour.

History and Curiosities

Reliance was born from the vision of Franck Pascal, a proponent of biodynamic viticulture aimed at enhancing the Baslieux-sous-Châtillon area, characterised by clay-limestone soils rich in flint and millstone. This elegant Champagne Brut Nature non-vintage, awarded 93 points by Robert Parker, combines Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grapes grown without the use of pesticides and harvested by hand. The rigorous traditional method with zero dosage ensures absolute purity, the result of naturally low yields and total respect for biodiversity.
