Description
What kind of wine it is
Foradori Teroldego is an organic red wine that precisely expresses the identity of Trentino Alto Adige. Originating from the Vigneti delle Dolomiti area, it presents a bright ruby red colour with purple highlights. The sensory profile is deep, with a bouquet blending notes of morello cherries and wild berries. On the palate, fullness is punctuated by ferrous and spicy notes, accompanied by hints of cinchona and nuances of humus. The well-orchestrated structure makes the tasting a faithful testament to the true essence of the Teroldego grape variety.
Where it comes from
The roots of this wine lie in Mezzolombardo, at the heart of the Campo Rotaliano, a basin in the Adige Valley protected by mountains. The morphology of the area is shaped by the Noce river, which over time has deposited calcareous, granitic and porphyritic debris. These elements have given rise to alluvial soils of a gravelly-sandy nature, fundamental in imparting elegance to the fruit. From a careful blend of different plots with sandy soils comes a sip deeply connected to its land of origin.
How it is produced
The production process follows the principles of biodynamic winemaking, making the most of vineyards trained with pergola and Guyot systems. After harvesting, fermentation takes place in cement vats, a choice aimed at preserving the vitality and purity of the fruit. Maturation lasts for twelve months, divided between cement and barrels, to ensure a balanced structural evolution. The absence of filtration finally ensures that every aromatic and tactile nuance reaches the glass intact.
History and Curiosities
Born in Trentino-Alto Adige from the vision of Elisabetta Foradori, this pure Teroldego carries on a wisdom rooted in 1901. Its soul takes shape in the evocative Campo Rotaliano, a strip of land nestled between the mountains of the Adige Valley. Here, the floods of the Noce river have shaped sandy soils rich in porphyritic debris. From the finest grapes of nine hectares cultivated in Mezzolombardo comes an authentic and profound organic red wine, capable of expressing the true essence of the territory with noble elegance.
