Description

What type of wine it is

Egon Müller's Riesling Scharzhof is a still white wine that perfectly expresses the potential of the Riesling grape variety. Produced in Germany, it falls within the prestigious Mosel-Saar-Ruwer quality designation. It appears in the glass with a straw yellow colour and greenish highlights, offering a fresh and fruity aromatic profile with notes of lemon, green apple and sage. On the palate, it is taut and balanced, with a pleasant freshness leading to a creamy and slightly sweet finish.

Where it comes from

This wine originates from the Wiltinger territory, located in the renowned Mosel-Saar-Ruwer wine-growing region in Germany. This region is deeply linked to the cultivation of white grape varieties, where the vineyard landscape and specific territorial conditions provide the ideal environment for the optimal growth of the clusters. The entire production area is famous for its long and deep-rooted oenological history, capable of giving the wines a distinctive character strongly tied to their origin.

How it is produced

The vinification process involves fermentation in steel tanks, conducted exclusively through the action of indigenous yeasts. This technique allows the primary characteristics of the grapes and the freshness of the aromatic profile to be preserved intact. Subsequently, bottling takes place without added sugar, ensuring a faithful and rigorous expression of the fruit. The final result accurately reflects the technical choices of the winery and the purity of the raw material.

History and Curious Facts
