Description
What kind of wine it is
Doro Princic Collio Pinot Bianco is a still white wine produced in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a true expression of Pinot Bianco. Made in the Collio area, it stands out for its defined aromatic profile, featuring fragrant floral notes of hawthorn and fruity hints of white peach. On the palate, the sip is intense, harmonious and enveloping, characterised by vibrant minerality and remarkable persistence. Careful vinification enhances its natural varietal aromas, offering a glass with elegant lines and great finesse.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in Pradis, in the municipality of Cormòns, in the heart of the Collio hills. The area enjoys excellent soil and climate conditions, characterised by the presence of ponca, a soil composed of sandstone and marl that gives the sip a distinctive savoury imprint. The vines are cultivated using the Guyot training system, a technique that promotes correct and balanced vegetative development. The Doro Princic winery, a family-run business led by Alessandro Princic, tends its vineyards with dedication to faithfully reflect the Friulian land.
How it is produced
The process begins with the manual harvesting of the grapes, followed by gentle pressing to extract very clean musts. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in steel tanks, using selected yeasts to define aromatic precision. Maturation continues in the same containers, with no passage in wood to preserve the original freshness of the fruit. The result is a wine with a clear straw yellow colour, able to maintain its dynamic taste and aroma profile unchanged.
History and Curiosities
In the heart of Pradis, in Cormòns, the Doro Princic winery has been carrying on a prestigious family winemaking tradition since 1960. Led by oenologist Alessandro Princic, the estate cultivates its own vineyards using the Guyot system on the characteristic Ponca soils, composed of sandstone and marl. This particular soil composition gives a distinctive character to the wines of the Collio DOC, enhancing their innate elegance. Ageing in steel preserves the freshness of the Pinot Bianco, honouring Friuli’s winemaking vocation.

Self-taught winemakers held at the mercy of good will but also in technical defect that still practice the thanks. Faced without awe the experience of the bottle in the wake of new incentives offered in the seventies by meritorious Consortium DOC Collio.
Finally he found the son Alessandro (as that will result in the wife Mariagrazia) the ideal partner for the definitive success of one of the most family farms listed Collio projected sharply with the bottle of quality to the domestic market (50%) and foreign (25%).
The pride of Princic is the Collio Pinot Bianco that the average of the last five years with 60 tons of grapes per hectare went bottles to more than 13 ° and a challenging natural dry extract of greater than 20 g / l to ensure freshness "all-steel" with hints of fresh fruit yeast wildflowers unforgettable. The future of professional Princic will ensure continuity with the young Carlo now student of oenology but ready to seize grandfatherly Doro those many little secrets that are found only the typical cellars of Collio.
