Description
What kind of wine is it
Gewurztraminer Domaine Jean-Michel Welty is an organic white wine that expresses the authentic character of Alsace. Made exclusively from Aromatic Traminer grapes, it stands out for its refined bouquet, characterised by notes of rose and exotic fruit. On the palate, it is well-balanced, with a soft texture supported by a pleasant freshness and a natural residual sugar that gives roundness. It is ideal for pairing with spicy foods, white meats and cheeses, boasting an excellent ability to evolve over time.
Where does it come from
This white originates in Alsace, a region renowned for the excellence of its white grape varieties. Domaine Jean-Michel Welty is a family-run estate deeply connected to the land, with roots dating back to 1738. The company operates with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, consolidated by the transition to organic viticulture under the guidance of Jérémy Welty in 2012. The Alsatian terroir emerges with purity in this glass, an authentic expression of the work of a proud independent winemaker.
How is it produced
The production process begins in vineyards managed entirely according to the principles of organic farming, where Aromatic Traminer grapes are grown in harmony with the plant's natural rhythms. The winemaking process aims to preserve the intense aromatic profile of the variety, maintaining its delicate floral fragrances intact. The wine is characterised by a balanced residual sugar, which imparts a pleasant structural softness without ever weighing down the sip. To fully appreciate its nuances, it is recommended to serve it at a cool temperature.
