Description
What kind of wine it is
Domaine Jean Michel Welty Cremant d’Alsace Seduction Extra Brut is an organic sparkling wine made from a blend of Auxerrois and Pinot Noir. Produced in Alsace following the Traditional Method, it displays a straw yellow colour with a fine and persistent perlage. The aromatic profile reveals fruity notes accompanied by delicate hints of white flowers. On the palate, the refined Extra Brut version stands out for its low dosage, enhancing a clear precision of flavour and a marked gastronomic vocation.
Where it comes from
The grapes grow in the unique microclimate of the Bollenberg in Alsace, a particularly dry terroir that imparts a distinct stylistic tension to the wine. The estate boasts a family history spanning eight generations, with roots dating back to 1738. Today, Jean-Michel Welty works as an independent winemaker, following the principles of organic farming since 2012 to preserve the purity and identity of the land of origin.
How it is produced
Vinification involves selecting the heart of the pressing to ensure maximum elegance in the base must. The prise de mousse takes place according to the rules of the Traditional Method and culminates in an ageing of 60 months on the lees. This prolonged rest enriches the aromatic complexity, while the reduced final dosage maintains a taut and vibrant style, offering a fresh sip characterised by a fine and persistent mousse.

Eight generations later, we are continuing this wonderful family story, which links us so closely to the land, the vines and the wine, with the same faith and the same enthusiasm.
Every day, our work is guided by the conviction that nature will give us back what we have given her.
It's been over thirty-five years since Jean-Michel took up the torch left by his father Fernand, gradually doubling the surface area of the vineyard.
In September 2012, he was joined by his son Jérémy, who brought a breath of fresh air to the estate with new creations and a new method of cultivation: Organic Farming. Read more
