Description
What kind of wine it is
Domaine du Moulin de Dusenbach Gewürztraminer is an aromatic still white that expresses the typical qualities of the Alsace region. It presents a bright yellow hue that anticipates an intense bouquet, characterised by fruity and floral notes and a delicate spicy hint. On the palate, this Gewürztraminer offers a velvety entry and a rounded texture, ensuring a consistently balanced sip. It is ideal paired with Asian cuisine and spicy dishes, as well as enhancing fish-based preparations, white meats, and blue cheeses such as Roquefort and Munster.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced in France, in the heart of Alsace. The Domaine du Moulin de Dusenbach winery, family-run since 1970, cultivates its vineyards with great attention to environmental sustainability. The estate extends over several plots that benefit from optimal exposure. The vines take root in clay-limestone, schist and sandy soils: a geological variety that encourages the development of Gewürztraminer's typical aromatic profile, giving the wine precision and remarkable palate clarity.
How it is produced
The vinification process begins with temperature-controlled fermentation, a fundamental technique for preserving the primary aromas and elegance of the Gewürztraminer grape. Subsequently, the wine matures through ageing on fine lees, aimed at enhancing the roundness and structure of the sip. This production approach defines the wine's enveloping character and velvety texture, ensuring a perfect balance between olfactory intensity and pleasantness, best enjoyed well chilled.
History and Curiosities
Since 1970, the family of Domaine du Moulin de Dusenbach has been cultivating vines in Alsace with deep passion and total respect for the environment. Thanks to a merger with a neighbouring estate, the company now boasts exceptional exposure and a variety of clay-limestone, schist and sandy soils. This territorial richness is faithfully reflected in their pure Gewurztraminer, an aromatic white wine aged on fine lees to enhance every floral nuance: a glass that encapsulates the authentic tradition of the prestigious Alsace AOC designation.

In early 2018, the Domaine decided to join forces with a neighbouring wine estate: Domaine Viticole de la Ville de Colmar.
From now on, this new project will bring together a single estate covering 40 hectares of vineyards offering a diversity of terroirs, geological riches and exceptional exposure. Read more
