Description
What kind of wine is it
Domaine A.F. Gros Hautes Cotes de Nuits Blanc is a still white wine that embodies the typical elegance of Burgundy. Made from Chardonnay grapes, it appears in the glass with a straw yellow colour enhanced by bright golden highlights. The bouquet opens with delicate floral aromas intertwined with clear notes of fresh fruit. On the palate, it reveals a fresh and smooth structure, offering a satisfying sip and remarkable persistence. Its natural refinement makes it ideal for pairing with lean fish, vegetarian dishes, snails, poultry and cheese.
Where does it come from
This white originates from the renowned region of Burgundy, specifically in the wine-growing area of Hautes-Cotes de Nuits. This geographical area is famous for giving the fruit a distinctive character and a crystalline aromatic definition. The wine is produced under the guidance of Domaine A.F. Gros, a winery expertly managed by Anne-Françoise Gros. Thanks to the pedoclimatic characteristics of the soils, the wine develops an excellent ageing potential, estimated between five and ten years.
How is it produced
The production process follows a rigorous protocol, aimed at enhancing the natural qualities of the raw material. The Chardonnay is vinified as a white wine to preserve the freshness and aromatic purity typical of the grape variety. The stages of fermentation and maturation are carefully managed to give the wine smoothness and a long-lasting taste continuity. The final result is a harmonious expression, in which the vibrant acidity integrates perfectly with the density of the sip, offering a balanced, persistent and well-structured profile.
History and Curiosities
This elegant pure Chardonnay, crafted by Domaine A.F. Gros, represents the authentic expression of the Burgundian terroir of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. The estate's history is linked to Anne-Françoise Gros who, after inheriting the winery from her father, has managed to enhance the prestige of the family wines by combining passion and profound expertise. The 2023 vintage perfectly embodies this legacy, offering a still white wine with a smooth structure and incredible persistence, capable of celebrating the excellence of French craftsmanship in every glass.

At 25 years old, Anne saw the family domaine grow from 3 to 6.5 ha. Recently, she invested in a new cellar. She is a winegrower suspicious of certitude and fastidious about maintaining her freedom.
As a female winegrower, Anne knew how to prove herself and convince all who doubted her ability to manage a domaine. She showed that she had not only the shoulders but the head to make her family heritage one of the greatest domaines of Burgundy.
In 1984 she had to stop studying Arts to study vines’culture and oenology in Beaune and Dijon. Now her passion for vine and wine as well as her talent, sensitivity and professionalism position her as a winemaker amateurs can rely on.
A mother of 3 children, Anne spends all her time working at the Domaine and taking care of her family. Read more
