Description
Still red wine from Trentino-Alto Adige, 13.5% ABV, produced by Dipoli Peter. 100% Merlot. 0.75L bottle, 2020 vintage. A Merlot that tells the story of a territory, with a name that recalls the ancient name of a village north of Egna. After destemming, it ferments in open steel vats for about ten days. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine is aged in single- or double-use barriques. After a further four months of aging in concrete barrels, the wine is bottled and released. Fruity aromas of small berries, hints of eucalyptus and undergrowth, with cocoa on the finish. Intense garnet with purple hues. Nicely smooth, it pairs excellently with the fruity flavor.

In the beginning the grapes were vinified at a friend’s winery. A fundamental step was to buy an ancient, rural house in Villa, in the village of Egna, that in 1998 was restored and became the estate winery. Read more
