Description

What kind of wine it is

Corte Giara Bardolino is a still red wine that expresses the soul of the Bardolino region, in the heart of Veneto. The blend is created from the union of Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara, presenting a lively ruby colour with violet highlights. The aromatic profile is distinguished by a fragrant fruity character of wild berries and blueberries, finely interwoven with spicy notes of pepper and dog rose. On the palate, it is dry and harmoniously structured, with delicately velvety tannins and a freshness that invites a juicy and smooth drink.

Where it comes from

The roots of this red wine lie in the moraine hills of Lake Garda, in the province of Verona. The fluvio-glacial soils give the grapes the essential qualities to define the light body and the pleasantness typical of the region. The vines, with an average age of around thirty years, are cultivated using the pergola system, encouraging the perfect ripening of the bunches. The identity of this production is deeply linked to the historic rural estate of Fumane, a place that inspires the philosophy and agricultural approach of Corte Giara.

How it is produced

Production begins in the second half of September with manual harvesting and the subsequent gentle pressing of the destemmed grapes. To preserve the purity of the primary aromas, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for a period of eight to ten days. The wine then matures in steel for three months, concluding the process with a brief final rest. Careful technical management enhances the natural freshness of the sip, making it the ideal pairing for classic Italian cuisine, from delicate risottos to white meats.
