Description

What kind of wine it is

Collet's Champagne Rosé Brut is an elegant French wine that combines Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier in a harmonious blend. Produced using the Traditional Method, it stands out for its peach-pink colour and refined bouquet. Floral notes blend with orange, mandarin and red fruits. On the palate, its silky texture reveals hints of blackberry and blackcurrant, finishing with a subtle note of cocoa. A delicate effervescence enhances each sip, making it ideal for shellfish and flavourful cheeses.

Where it comes from

This wine originates in Champagne, where Collet selects grapes from renowned villages such as Rilly-La-Montagne, Sermiers and Cumières. This diversity of origins allows for a product with great expressive freshness. The winery, rooted in Aÿ, showcases these crus through deep viticultural expertise. Careful selection in these exceptional terroirs shapes a consistent cuvée, where the fruit's identity marries with the Brut structure. Every sip reveals the elegance with which Champagne represents the authentic French viticultural landscape.

How it is produced

The creation follows the patient Traditional Method, with a slow second fermentation in the bottle to develop an extremely fine perlage. After blending, the wine rests for a four-year maturation in centuries-old cellars. This long ageing on the lees enriches the structure, imparting pronounced gustatory smoothness and complexity. The precise dosage maintains the balance between the fruit's liveliness and the roundness acquired over time. Every stage of production enhances the finesse of this harmonious blend, ensuring an elegant and profound glass.

History and Curiosities

Founded in 1921 in Aÿ, the independent house Collet embodies the excellence of exceptional French terroirs. Its Champagne Rosé Brut is crafted from carefully selected grapes from various villages, brought to life through the traditional method and a patient ageing process of at least four years in centuries-old cellars. This production process bestows the cuvée with refined elegance and rich complexity. Awarded high scores by the most prestigious industry magazines, the label authentically celebrates the noble local artisanal tradition.

Champagne Collet is an independent winegrower's house, created in 1921 and located in the heart of Aÿ, a Grand Cru village and the cradle of Champagne. Thanks to the diversity and exceptional quality of its terroirs, Maison Collet is renowned for the elegance and richness of its wines.

For the first time in the history of Champagne, a group of winegrowers joined forces to produce their own champagne. Raoul Collet, director of the Maison for thirty years and spokesperson for the winegrowers and their commitment to the recognition of their terroir and their know-how, gave his name to the brand.
