Description

Type of wine

Château Dauzac's Margaux Rouge is a red wine that embodies the prestige of Margaux, in the famous Bordeaux region. Known as a Grand Cru Classé, this blend harmonises Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes in a structured and deep profile. The intense red colour previews elegant hints of plum, red fruits, and mocha, enriched by slight minty nuances. On the palate, it reveals itself as powerful and enveloping, supported by complex and well-integrated tannins that accompany the sip towards a persistent finish, confirming a remarkable ageing potential thanks to ageing in oak barrels.

Origin

The grapes come from the renowned Margaux area. The vineyard extends over soils characterised by deep gravel outcrops. The vines are cultivated using double Guyot pruning and high planting density. This careful agricultural management allows for the extraction of the most substantial essence and the natural freshness typical of the Bordeaux terroir.

Production process

After a meticulous manual harvest, the grapes undergo double sorting to ensure maximum quality. The transfer of the must to the cellar utilises gravity-flow vinification, maintaining the integrity of the raw material. Fermentation in wooden vats precedes the essential malolactic phase. The long ageing takes place inside French oak barrels, giving the wine great aromatic complexity and a silky texture.
