Description
What type of wine it is
Blangé Langhe Arneis by Ceretto is a still organic white wine from Piedmont, vinified in stainless steel, which enhances the finest qualities of the Arneis grape variety. To the eye, it presents a brilliant straw yellow, while the olfactory profile reveals well-defined aromas of Limoncella apple, citron zest, almond and delicate notes of yeast. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with a citrus character and a slight natural perlage that makes each sip dynamic. Thanks to its great balance, this Langhe wine is ideal for accompanying fresh fish courses and the classic frittura di paranza (fried small fry).
Where it comes from
The Arneis grapes grow on the Piedmontese hills of the Langhe, in the territories of Alba, Vezza d’Alba, Castellinaldo and Castagnito. The hillside vineyards, located at an altitude between 210 and 290 metres, benefit from ideal climatic conditions to maintain a distinct gustatory tension. The composition of the soil, where clay soils, sand and silt alternate, gives the wine a defined structure and a pleasant smoothness. Ceretto has believed firmly in this grape variety, enhancing its potential in an area historically dedicated to reds.
How it is produced
The production process begins with a partial cryomaceration of the grapes, precisely regulating times and temperatures based on the condition of the bunches. Processing continues cold in stainless steel vats, using an advanced temperature-controlled system capable of managing yeast activity. This method ensures a harmonious development of the must, preserving the integrity of the aromatic and fruity profile. The result is an excellent wine to be enjoyed immediately, yet capable of enriching its expressiveness through several months of ageing.
History and interesting facts
Born in 1985 from the vision of Bruno and Marcello, Blangé challenged an era dominated by red wines, revolutionising Piedmontese oenology. By choosing the hills of Vezza d’Alba, the historic Ceretto winery courageously enhanced the native Arneis, creating a world-famous white wine that today represents 12% of the regional production of this variety. The name, inspired by the ancient French bakers of Cherasco, and the bold label created by designer Silvio Coppola, celebrate a true triumph of elegance and creative intuition.

And so we are looking to the future: our family is a group with a shared vision, we make decisions together, guided by respect for expertise: we give those who have something to contribute - to the company, and to the territory - the tools to achieve that vision.
Everything is culture: from award-winning gastronomy at Piazza Duomo to traditional Piedmontese cuisine at La Piola, and our art projects. The Chapel by Sol Lewitt and David Tremlett, in a Barolo Brunate vineyard at La Morra, places art in an agricultural landscape, elevating and celebrating it: there is an educational element, not direction from above but contamination from below.
