Description
What kind of wine is it
The Champagne Extra Brut Chemin des Plants by Caze Thibaut is a Blanc de Blancs that celebrates the elegance of Chardonnay. Visually, it displays a straw yellow colour enhanced by golden highlights and a fine perlage. The bouquet combines delicate floral scents with fragrant pastry notes. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, characterised by a dry and linear sip that leads to a taut finish. Crafted using the Traditional Method, it stands out for its remarkable structural precision.
Where does it come from
This Champagne originates from Châtillon-sur-Marne, in the heart of France. Caze Thibaut works as an independent winemaker, protecting the land through an approach based on organic and sustainable agriculture. This production philosophy respects the natural vocation of the soils, offering an authentic expression of the terroir of origin. The meticulous vineyard management and artisanal touch result in a pure and direct profile, with excellent ageing potential estimated between five and ten years.
How is it produced
The vinification follows the principles of the Traditional Method, beginning with fermentation in oak barrels followed by natural cold stabilisation. To preserve the wine’s integrity, Caze Thibaut chooses not to carry out any filtration or fining. The extremely low final dosage defines its Extra Brut identity. Served at an ideal temperature between 6 and 8°C, this wine creates harmonious pairings with seafood starters, sushi, shellfish, lean fish and delicate fried dishes.
