Description
What kind of wine it is
Floreado by Andriano is a still white wine with Denomination of Controlled Origin that expresses the essence of the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety grown in Alto Adige. In the glass, it displays a brilliant straw yellow colour, crossed by subtle greenish highlights. On the nose, it offers an intense and fruity bouquet, with clear aromas of elderflower, gooseberry, nettle, and exotic fruits such as lychee. On the palate, it delivers a fresh and vibrant sip, the result of fermentation in steel and maturation on fine lees, supported by finely balanced acidity and excellent structure, finishing with a long and satisfying aftertaste with typical almond notes.
Where it comes from
The grapes ripen in Alto Adige, on the east-facing slopes surrounding the village of Andriano. At an altitude of 285 metres, the bunches benefit from a mild climate with regular rainfall and cool valley breezes, essential for proper aromatic development. The soil, composed of clay-limestone and characterised by fragments of white dolomite, imparts a deep and precise identity to the vine. This strong synergy between altitude and geology enhances the wine's mineral notes, ensuring elegance and a natural structural liveliness.
How it is produced
The production process aims to enhance the clarity and purity of the fruit. The must undergoes fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, a fundamental step to preserve the primary aromatic richness. Subsequently, the wine rests in maturation on fine lees for six months. This delicate ageing period enriches the sensory profile, balancing the intrinsic freshness with an elegant roundness on the palate. The result is a dry, harmonious glass with a pleasant persistence.
History and Curiosities
Founded in 1893 as the first cooperative in South Tyrol, Cantina Andrian brings the Sauvignon Blanc Floreado to life by skilfully combining tradition and respect for nature. Since 2008, the synergy with Cantina Terlano has consolidated a legacy of excellence. The vineyards of the 2025 vintage thrive at an altitude of 285 metres on the eastern slopes, nourished by unique soils composed of clayey limestone and white dolomite. This gives the wine an excellent ageing potential until 2030.

Today the strengths of the two wine estates are combined and yet clearly distinct from each other. With its outstanding sites, Cantina Andriano stands for constancy, underpinned by the historic achievement of the Andriano winegrowers for wines like Lagrein, which was one of the first to be aged in barriques here.
On the basis of a consistent commitment to quality and a strong focus on terroir, which had already been a successful recipe in Terlano, Cantina Andriano continues to develop step by step. The winery now looks to the future from a position of strength and can be proud of its identity and standard of quality. They have their roots in unique limestone-rich soils, a climate that is quite different from that of Terlano, and grape varieties ideally suited to these parameters.
That forms the foundation for the distinctive Andriano taste and identity. Read more
