The history of Bulleit Whiskey begins in the early 1800s, when Augustus Bulleit, owner of a bar in Louisville, Kentucky, uses his knowledge of brandy production (he is of French origin), starting to distill liquor into small batches. In particular, Augustus focuses on creating a recipe for a bourbon with a unique flavor that comes after countless experiments. The recipe, however, is great and its bourbon is a great success, especially in Kentucky and Indiana. In 1860, however, during a trip from Louisville to New Orleans, Augustus disappeared mysteriously along with his creation and dozens of whiskey barrels he was carrying (still today he does not know what happened to him).
We arrive quickly until 1987, when Augusto's grandson, Thomas E. Bulleit Jr. leaves his lawyer career to succeed in the dream of his life; After more than 100 years Thomas wants to revive the bourbon whiskey recipe of his ancestor, so is born the Bulleit Distilling Company.
The Bulleit Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey recipe is special, in fact it is aged for a minimum of 6 years and contains a high percentage of rye (around 30%), and is also matured in heavily carbonized barrels. The packaging is cured and is inspired by the old bottles of medicines used by doctors during the "Border Conquest" period, with embossed caps and cork caps. Bulleit was introduced to the American market in 1999 and three years later, thanks to its great success, it has been distributed all over the world. In 2011 Bulleit Rye Whiskey was released on the American market. Read more

Bulleit Bourbon has a decidedly spicy character, and a clean and smooth finish, this whiskey is aged for 6 years in new American white oak casks. The nose is slightly spicy and prickly with notes of jam and toasted oak. On the palate it has a full flavor, with notes of spicy orange, maple wood and nutmeg.
