Description
What kind of wine it is
Bruno Paillard's Champagne Première Cuvée Extra Brut is an elegant Traditional Method sparkling wine that combines Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier in a balanced blend. In the glass, it displays a brilliant straw gold colour, enlivened by a fine and persistent perlage. The aromatic profile opens with fresh citrus notes of lime and grapefruit, evolving towards hints of red fruits such as currant and morello cherry, and finishing with delicate exotic touches of pineapple. On the palate, it is lively and vibrant, enriched by pleasant hints of almond and toasted bread, offering a clean finish with great precision of flavour.
Where it comes from
This label originates from the renowned Champagne region in France and represents an authentic expression of its vast and multifaceted terroir. The wine is the result of a rigorous selection of grapes from as many as thirty-five different crus, carefully chosen to give the blend impeccable consistency and recognisability. Thanks to this meticulous blending process, the result achieves remarkable harmony. At the table, it proves to be an excellent aperitif and an ideal partner to enhance the flavour of shellfish, fish and white meats, while also effectively accompanying the bold nuances of mature cheeses.
How it is produced
Attention to vinification is evident from the outset, using only the musts from the first pressings in the cellar. Ageing on the lees, as required by the Traditional Method, lasts for three years, allowing the wine to develop a rich flavour profile while maintaining pronounced tension. After disgorgement, there is a further maturation of at least five or six months to ensure perfect integration of every component. The extra brut dosage, kept to a minimum, preserves the authenticity of the sip, guaranteeing a structural liveliness that balances the aromatic complexity acquired over time.
