Description
What kind of wine is it
Brovia Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is a still red wine from Piedmont, made from Nebbiolo grapes. In the glass, it reveals a bright garnet colour and a refined bouquet, characterised by aromas of powder, rose, violet, star anise, tonka bean and gentian. On the palate, it displays an austere and profound character, supported by noble tannins and a long, savoury finish in constant evolution. This structured profile perfectly expresses the identity and elegance of Barolo.
Where does it come from
This red originates in Piedmont, among the vineyards of Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Langhe. The renowned Rocche di Castiglione designation represents the area of excellence that defines its precision. Brovia works with dedication to convey the unique qualities of its land of origin into the glass. The influence of the soil and climate gives it an unmistakable identity, clearly enhancing the territorial character of the vines cultivated in this specific, highly regarded area.
How is it produced
The production process follows practices aimed at enhancing the extraordinary capacity for evolution of this red. To fully appreciate its texture, it is recommended to decant for about an hour and serve at 18-20°C. The austerity of the sip makes it perfect for accompanying intensely flavoured meats. It finds its highest expression when paired with braised beef, rich stews with chanterelles, game and mature cheeses, ensuring a satisfying and full-bodied tasting experience.

The Winery had been set up as far back as 1863 and is settled in Castiglione Falletto. Paying always attention to the importance of the "terroir", with time and an uncompromising attitude to the selection of the finest vineyards in Langa, the family has been able to acquire great vineyards in the Barolo growing area: Rocche, Villero and Garblèt Sue’ in Castiglione Falletto and Ca’Mia and Brea in Serralunga d’Alba.
Thus, the philosophy of the Winery is to propose great personality Barolos (as with the other wines produced), all made in the same way, but with very specific and clean characteristics, always different among them; Barolos that faithfully reflect the richness of our great Langa vineyards."
