Description
What kind of wine it is
The Brigandat Champagne Rosé de Saignée Brut is a refined French rosé, an authentic expression of Pinot Noir grapes. Produced using the Traditional Method, this Champagne stands out for its extremely fine perlage and enveloping creaminess. On the nose, delicate notes of red fruits and hazelnut emerge, enriched by hints of honey, almond, sweet spices and yellow-fleshed fruit. The structure, soft yet supported by a pronounced mineral character, offers a fresh sip that fades into persistent hints of citrus and raspberry. It pairs perfectly with shellfish and soft cheeses.
Where it comes from
This Champagne, crafted by the Brigandat family, originates in Channes, within a small and carefully managed artisan estate. The estate covers nine hectares, managed with a sustainable approach and deep respect for the environment. The vitality of the soil is preserved through manual work and the use of the plough, ensuring an authentic connection with the land. This meticulous attention translates into an expressive and generous style, characterised by a well-defined mineral texture that is evident from the very first taste.
How it is produced
Vinification uses the delicate saignée technique, ideal for extracting the intense colour and varietal aromas of Pinot Noir. The production process involves fermentation and ageing in tanks and oak barrels, under strict supervision. The secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, faithfully following the Traditional Method, ensuring harmonious and complex development. Thanks to this careful process, the wine acquires excellent balance and an ageing potential that can reach up to ten years.
History and Curiosities
Produced in Channes by a family-run estate committed to sustainability, Champagne Brigandat Rosé de Saignée Brut represents true artisanal excellence. This refined cuvée, made from 100% Pinot Noir, skilfully combines the ancient saignée technique with the traditional method. Carefully matured in both vats and oak barrels, this wine demonstrates the utmost respect for the land, which is still gently worked with a plough. The result is a champagne with a very fine perlage and creamy effervescence, capable of ageing over time and providing unforgettable toasts.

Like my father before me, the passion for champagne has become a real vocation. Since 2002, I have taken over the reins of the estate and since 2013 I have been working with Cendrine, my wife, to develop the production and marketing of Pierre Brigandat champagnes.
With rigour and passion, we cultivate two noble grape varieties: pinot noir and chardonnay, on an 8-hectare vineyard. We respect the environment (the soil has been worked with a plough since 2002) and the people. We constantly seek to honour our values through the conception of exceptional products, conceived in a rich and generous territory.
Today, no less than 7 champagnes and a Coteaux Champenois can be found in our online shop or directly in the cellar, during a tasting. (Bertrand Brigandat) Read more
