Description
What type of wine it is
The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore by BiancaVigna is a Venetian brut white sparkling wine that clearly expresses the character of the Glera grape. In the glass, it offers a fine and persistent perlage, introducing aromas of apple, pear and white flowers, with light nuances of peach and honey. Obtained using the Charmat method in steel tanks, it offers a dry and fresh taste, characterised by a pleasant smoothness and well-integrated acidity. The sip closes with a clean, mineral finish, enriched by subtle spicy notes, proving ideal for elegant aperitifs, light starters and fish-based dishes.
Where it comes from
The grapes are grown on the Venetian hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the historical heart of the denomination. The vineyards are located at an altitude of approximately two hundred metres, specifically in the Ogliano site, characterised by steep and well-exposed slopes. The vines are rooted in clay and limestone soils, which provide excellent natural drainage. This specific terroir is crucial in giving the wine a balanced structure and a very clear aromatic expression. Thanks to the influence of these lands, the Glera develops a marked freshness and a strong mineral component, maintaining a harmonious and vibrant finish.
How it is produced
The process begins with a manual harvest, followed by gentle pressing and decantation of the must. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, allowing the wine to rest on the fine lees to enrich its structure. The second fermentation occurs via the Charmat method, with a ninety-day re-fermentation in autoclaves guided by indigenous yeasts. After cold stabilisation, a short rest in the cellar fixes the aromas. This process ensures a measured creaminess and an elegant perlage, preserving a dry and clean profile that fully enhances the varietal character.
