Description
What kind of wine it is
The Champagne Une Extra Brut by Bereche is a wine that faithfully expresses the character of the renowned French region. Crafted using the Traditional Method, it is made from a balanced blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It displays a clear straw yellow colour, enlivened by a fine and continuous perlage. The bouquet opens with distinct fruity aromas, enriched by refreshing citrus notes. On the palate, it offers a fresh sip, well-defined and supported by a long persistence.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in France, in the prestigious Champagne Premier Cru area. The Bereche winery manages ten hectares of vineyards following a sustainable approach that respects the soil. Organic fertilisation and ploughing are practised in the vineyard, strictly excluding the use of herbicides and insecticides. These practices preserve the health of the vines and have enabled the company to obtain a recognised environmental certification. Such careful management ensures healthy grapes, forming the basis of a production focused on consistent quality.
How it is produced
Vinification follows the principles of the Traditional Method, through a rigorous second fermentation. The minimal dosage defines the wine's extra brut identity, enhancing its freshness and dryness. The meticulous process guarantees remarkable longevity, potentially exceeding twenty-five years, as confirmed by the authoritative score of 97/100 awarded by Vinous. Its clear taste profile makes it ideal paired with cheeses and assorted starters. At the table, it also pairs perfectly with lean fish dishes and preparations based on white meats.
History and Curiosities

Every action has been adequately thought out. Of course our land is plowed and we also use weed control to limit disease. This vegetation cover avoids herbicides, insecticides and anti-rots. Everything begins with the soil. The fertilization is organic. We feed wildlife which in turn feeds flora and thus the soil is working. As a result the House Bérêche has one of the lowest treatment frequency index in the Champagne region. It is also among the first to be certified High Environmental Quality (level 3). Read more
