Description

What kind of wine it is

Belvento Velarosa Rosé by Petra is a refined rosé wine produced in Tuscany. Made from Grenache grapes, it expresses an elegant style and a distinctly fruity profile. The floral bouquet blends with clear notes of raspberry, pomegranate and orange. On the palate, it stands out for its mineral freshness and lively acidity that perfectly balances each sip. The tasting experience finishes with delicate balsamic hints and a fragrant finish, ideal for accompanying starters and light dishes.

Where it comes from

This Tuscan rosé originates in Suvereto, in an area where vineyards stretch between gentle hills and the coast. The influence of the sea breeze caresses the grapes, giving the wine a typical Mediterranean character. The vines sink their roots into soils with a clay-sandy texture and a limestone component, essential for imparting savouriness and structure. Cultivation using the Guyot system ensures excellent vegetative balance, allowing for a wine with a clean profile and great drinkability.

How it is produced

Production begins with a rigorous manual harvest, followed by a brief contact of the must with the skins to extract the delicate pale pink hue and the most elegant aromatic components. After gentle pressing, fermentation is carefully managed to preserve the integrity of the primary aromas. Finally, a three-month maturation consolidates the balance of flavours, resulting in a fresh and savoury wine, capable of enhancing every tasting experience.

History and Curiosities

Founded in Suvereto in 1997 from the dream of Francesca and Vittorio Moretti, the Petra winery enhances the authentic Tuscan terroir. Under the guidance of oenologist Giuseppe Caviola, the Belvento Velarosa Rosé reflects the elegance of vineyards cultivated using the Guyot method, in a landscape where the hills gently meet the sea. After a careful manual harvest, the brief contact with the skins and the gentle pressing release a bouquet of pomegranate and raspberry. This IGT matures for three months in the bottle, offering the palate an irresistible mineral freshness, perfect for your moments of relaxation.

Petra, like "pietra" (stone) in Latin. Like the solidity of work, which both Francesca and Vittorio Moretti (father and daughter) have based their project upon. Like the historic fragments found out in these lands, giving evidence of a far away past , leading from the Old Greek civilization to Etruria (ancient name for Tuscany) and from there to France. An ambitious project that claims to interpret the territory, to grasp the characteristics that make it unique, making it an exceptional wine-growing area. To live up to this, Vittorio Moretti entrusted the agronomic investigation to Prof. Attilio Scienza, the greatest expert in zoning, while the structure was designed by Mario Botta, who gave the winery the status of a true architecture of work and hospitality.
