Description

What kind of spirit is this?

Belvedere Vodka is a pure Polish spirit crafted exclusively from Dankowskie Gold rye and artesian well water. It undergoes a precise four-cycle distillation to achieve complete transparency. The nose reveals inviting notes of vanilla, aromatic herbs, citrus, menthol and white pepper. These aromas lead into a full-bodied palate with a smooth, velvety texture, concluding with a satisfying and clean almond finish.

Where it comes from

This spirit originates in Poland’s Masovia region, within the Żyrardów district. Local conditions are ideal for cultivating Dankowskie Gold rye, a grain chosen for its high starch content. Distilling practices here draw on over six centuries of history. The brand honours the historic Belvedere Palace in Warsaw. First launched in the United States before global export, this Orthodox Union Kosher certified spirit is a genuine expression of its provenance.

How it is produced

The production of Belvedere Vodka relies on a meticulous process designed to preserve the natural character of the grain. Water is drawn from deep artesian wells located two kilometres underground, undergoing eleven filtrations to ensure absolute clarity. The spirit is distilled to achieve a perfect balance, resulting in an entirely natural profile with zero additives and no added sugar. This rigorous method guarantees a bright spirit that delivers a velvety mouthfeel.

History and Heritage

First launched in the USA and named after the Warsaw palace depicted on its label, Belvedere Vodka is renowned as the world’s first super-premium luxury vodka. Crafted at the Polmos Żyrardów distillery in Poland’s Masovia region, this globally exported spirit honours a prestigious Polish distilling tradition spanning more than six centuries. Produced in strict accordance with Polish vodka legal requirements, this Orthodox Union Kosher-certified and award-winning spirit, which earned a gold medal at the Annual Vodka Masters, masterfully merges heritage with refinement.

Polmos Zyrardow's distillery was born in 1910 in Poland when he started producing the first Vodka. At the time the rye distillation was quite widespread in the country, and the distillery overwhelmed the two world wars and the political turmoil of Europe of the time. After the collapse of the Communist regime, Polmos decided to try to make a Vodka that he could distinguish himself from all, unique and authentic.

That was how the Vodka Belvedere was inaugurated, in honor of the Warsaw Belweder Palace, which today appears on the label. Belvedere Vodka remained a regional product until the 1990s, when a wealthy American decided to buy its production and sales rights.

In 2002 he finally entered the luxury circuit after the acquisition of the LVMH group. Today Vodka Belvedere is an icon, the very idea of luxury and value, sold in more than 100 countries around the world and produced in different types, depending on the fruits that are being macerated.
